When Lydia woke up this morning I said to her “Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?” She looked at me with her head tilted to the side and with a little smile said “Daddy, and Liam, and you.” And then she wrapped those little arms around my neck. Heaven on Earth! And that about sums it up. I too, am thankful for Jared, and Liam, and Lydia. I am so blessed to have such a happy, healthy, sweet little family. I am thankful that we have the opportunity to be an eternal family. I am thankful for out temple marriage.  I am thankful for my awesome parents who take such good care of us and are always there when we need them. I am thankful for Jared’s parents and all of their love and support too. My kids are the luckiest to have such fantastic grandparents on both sides. I am thankful for my sisters and their sweet families, and for Jared’s siblings and their families too. I am thankful for my job, and our house, and our dog. I am thankful for the freedoms that we are blessed with in this free country. I am thankful for the health of my sweet family. I am thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and for his son Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me. I am thankful for the Priesthood and the blessings it brings my family. We are truly blessed beyond measure. Happy Thanksgiving!
We spent Thanksgiving at the beach again this year. It was FABULOUS. I love this time of year to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for.

We rented a boat again and sailed out on the bay. Some of us explored the private Shell Island. “Unc”, as Liam calls Phil in the biggest grunt ever, dug up a huge crab. We saw jelly fish, a horseshoe crab, and sea urchin. The view and landscape there is breathtaking. Then we got back on the boat and fished. We caught blow fish and a stingray, along with the normal fish. Lydia loved fishing with Daddy. Liam hated his life jacket, and therefore, was not the biggest fan of the boat. Gammy and Grandpa came down to spend Thanksgiving with us and got to go out on the boat with us too.

Nope. I take it back. There are none. No worries this week. We are spending Thanksgiving break here at the beach again with my side of the family. The weather is simply delightful. A warm 77 degrees with a light breeze. Good for the soul! The kids are loving it. Lydia has always loved playing in the sand and this year she loves swimming in the ocean too. You know my spazzy self. I am nervous as balls while she is out there, but she loves it. Liam was not intimidated at all by the ocean when we first got here. He just jumped right in and even fell completely in a few times. After that he has been  a little more cautious. His favorite thing is to stand right at the edge of the waves and throw his ball and watch it wash back up for one of us to collect and hand back to him. It is like playing fetch with Mommy.

Liam stuck his little chubby finger in the cage and one of them bit him. I freaked out, naturally. Jared thinks it is fine. I want to get rid of them. Jared and Lydia do not. Oh, the dilemma. Liam walks around the house with his finger sticking out and if you ask him what happened he says “ratty-rat”. He still loves them though.
